The Uniqueness of a Rick Steves' Tour

The activities included in our tour itinerary were far from the only memorable experiences of our tour. We're so thankful for the help of our Rick Steves' guide, Sarah, for making our family's trip across Italia unforgettable.

UNIQUE EXPERIENCES DURING OUR RICK STEVES' TOUR

Went to retired Chef Ferruccio's home in Varenna for a home-cooked meal, served by the chef and his family.

Gary celebrated his 60th birthday in Rome!

We were in Siena for the final trial race for the Palio, a historic and generations-old horse race between the neighborhoods of Siena.

We attended a live Vivaldi concert at the Interpreti Veneziani in Venice.

Gary injured his hand and finger while laying on the beach in Monterosso, so he and Michele got to ride an ambulance to an Italian hospital in La Spezia.
